To be a good fit for the Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity, you will have:

• A high school diploma or GED; a bachelor's or associate's degree in Accounting or some accounting college-level accounting coursework is preferred

You will come into the office two or three days a week and our return-to-work plans are not finalized at this point. We have protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all employees, and our cloud-based systems make it easy to work from home. For the most part, you will work normal business hours, but we'll look to you to be flexible about working extra hours as necessary, such as during month-end closing.

Reporting to the Controller, you will join a team in Tampa that also includes portfolio accountants. This team is part of the larger Accounting organization, which is based in Chicago. The Tampa team provides outsourced accounting services for clients. These are property companies for whom we also provide property management services.

Days will be busy, and you'll primarily be responsible for A/P processing and a good deal of review (i.e. processing payment, coding invoices, ensuring coding is correct, vendor payments are issued correctly, etc.). Quick question for you - click here More specifically, you will:

• Perform maintenance of the accounts payable vendor files
• Maintain paid invoice file
• Make general ledger code assignments and issue accounts payable checks
• Track forecasting identification codes
• Maintain the outstanding check listing
• Maintain stop/void check log
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts
• Prepare and balances member/corporate disbursement check reports
